Questions and Answers
Q: I want to put this design in a bay on a pole with rings.I realize the swag sections widths per pattern may not work well (side windows are 31" face and the center window is 45" face)unless the swag sections can be about 15" thee another pattern that would look similar and work with these measures? I wanted a swag with folds and a little longer side tails. Please let me know!!! If you want to call me my office # is 304-733-5579. THANKS! Teresa

A: The Catherine can be altered to fit your bay by using a little of those ole math skills we we learned way back in school :) It is a little more detailed than what I could answer here on the posted questions so give me a call at the office 205-424-1770 ext 2. I'll be happy to help you.

Q: Who makes this fabric? Could I buy this actual valence from you?
Asked by:  - 3/22/2014
A: This is our WAV-POM fabric and we do have it by the yard at $14.98 per yard. We can certainly custom make your valance as well. Just give us a call at 204.424.1770 ext 2

Q: what are the colors in this one?
Asked by:  - 4/2/2014
A: Brenda, this is a sewing pattern for making the valance, so you can choose your own fabric in any color. If you don't sew, we can certainly make it for you. Just give us a call at 205-424-1770 ext. 2.

Q: How much fabric does this pattern use? My windows are 43" and 51".
Asked by:  - 5/19/2014
A: You can use the fabric chart found on our website to figure fabric for your windows. Here's the link
Please allow extra for pattern repeats. When doing multiple windows, it won't take 1 1/2 yds for each window on the piping. Usually 1 1/2 is plenty for up to two single windows but we have found 2 yards to be sufficient for more than two windows.

Q: does the catherine valance comes with jablot as shown, do you have matching back drapries for the valance , my window is 100 inches width , what would i need to complete this window treatment?
Asked by:  - 6/23/2014
A: The Catherine Pattern is complete with instructions for making as many swag sections as you need to cover the width of your window as well as the side jabots which complete the valance. If you need to make side panels to hang underneath that go down to the floor for a more formal look that can be done as well and we can give you some pointers on making stationary side panels. If you would rather have us make the treatment for you please email or give me a call at 205-424-1770 for a custom estimate. You can supply the fabric or you can choose from our selection of fabrics. I look forward to hearing from you.

Q: Can this be made without using the wood blocks on the side?
Asked by:  - 9/22/2014
A: The Catherine can be installed without the blocks but it will tend to sag since the valance tends to be a little weighty in that area. You could use a drapery pin inserted at the very back of the valance then hook it into a screw eye that is screwed into the wall or into the side of a wooden bracket.

Q: Can this be made without the side panels ? How much yardage is needed for the fringe, with and without the side panels?

Q: How much material would be required for a window 36 inches in width? I have already purchased my material and want to make sure I have enough.
