We've improved our finial adapter/post extender for easier installation!
This wooden finial adapter/post extender is great to use if you need a projection for your knob or finial.
It has a projection of 3-3/4" but can be cut down.
We also have a
large post adapte
r
with a 5-1/2" projection.
Just screw your finial on the the end as shown below. The hole in the end accepts most finial screws.
Use with our
1" rings
for a super simple installation
.
Available in 3 colors to coordinate with our knob selection: bronze, gold, aged white and antique silver.
Combine with any of our finials/knobs
(SOLD SEPARATELY)
for a customized look.

Here's a video detailing our hardware. There is a portion explaining the installation process of the Post Adapters. They come with auger anchors but if additional support is needed we can include Toggler supports, although you will need to request these in the comment section of your order.

I want to use the knobs that are used on my kitchen cabinets as the medallions. Will this work onthe extenders?

A:
You can use cabinet knobs or any other type of knob as long as you have the correct screw. The posts are wood so you will need a double sided screw with a wood screw on one side - then the other side will need to be for metal. These are called double sided screws and they come with metal/metal or metal/wood or wood/wood. Ace Hardware is always helpful when trying to purchase specialty screws.
