Materials Needed:
We used twill tape in the natural
color to form the ties on the Melissa Valance.

An alternative way to tie the twill tape.

Determine how many ties that you
will need for your valance and mark the placement on the valance using the
template included in your pattern instructions.
Cut the number of ties that you need in 27” lengths and angle the ends
to keep them from unraveling. Fold the length of twill tape in half and place
the halfway point on the valance as shown above.
Stitch two stitch lines through all thicknesses about 2” apart. Be sure to back stitch to make sure the twill tape is adhered sufficiently
You can tie the tape in a bow.
Or you can tie it in a loose knot.
